Nugget the Chicken Will Return for Yakuza: Like a Dragon
Our feathered friend transcends decades to return as a business partner.

In the year 2017, Nugget the Chicken graced our screens in Yakuza 0 as a business partner for our real estate empire. Next year, in 2020, Nugget the Chicken (or his descendant) will be returning for Yakuza: Like a Dragon.
Three decades might separate Nugget from the antics of Yakuza 0 in 1989 and Yakuza: Like a Dragon in 2020, but he's back baby, in glorious HD. Famitsu broke the news in an article that revealed there would be a business management aspect of the upcoming Yakuza game, which could work in a similar vein to the real estate empire from Yakuza 0.
In the 2017 game, Nugget was Kazuma Kiryu's business partner, a business partner he won from a bowling competition. It's unclear how Nugget will be coming back into the fold for new protagonist Ichiban Kasuga in Yakuza: Like a Dragon, but we for one welcome the return of our feathered friend.
But Nugget the Chicken is far from the only returning character in 2020's Yakuza. Goro Majima and Taiga Saejima have just recently been confirmed to return by director Toshihiro Nagoshi, who teased additional characters from Kiryu's past adventures returning for the new game.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon releases for the PS4 on January 16, 2020 in Japan. It'll be arriving in the west later in the year, at an unspecified point in 2020.
