Nottingham Trent University building Kinect-powered prototype to help assess stroke recovery
Nottingham Trent University has been awarded a grant to build a prototype system with Kinect, which will provide real-time feedback on stroke victims' facial movements during rehabilitation. The team behind the device will spend 18 months developing the prototype with the £347,000 grant money. The system will track various movements during the recommend 45 minute therapy session for facial paralysis, with feedback appearing on-screen with the patient's avatar. Information obtained using the tech will then be used to help with the patient's rehabilitation. More on Eurogamer.
