We love the Nords. They're awesome. Good news arrives today, then, that the Nordic Game guys are going to be representing more than 40 companies from the region at GDC in San Francisco later this month. Nordic Game's stand is actually the same size as Epic's, which Nordic Game boss Erik Robertson says is a statement of intent.

“We are definitely making a statement at the GDC this year with the placement and the floor coverage of the Nordic Game exhibition,” said Robertson, director of the Nordic Game Program. “Our games industry is gaining recognition for its economic potential in our own region and our strong showing at the conference and exhibition will highlight the importance of this industry in the Nordic countries.”

Go along and say hello at booth 5605 in the North Hall. Do some Nordic business. They're good guys, this lot.

After garnering experience on countless gaming magazines, he joined Eurogamer and later split from that brand to create VG247, putting the site on the map with fast, 24-hour a day coverage, and assembling the site's earliest editorial teams. He retired from VG247, and the games industry, in 2017.
