Nokia's DreamWorks Dragons Adventure uses real world GPS data
DreamWorks Dragons Adventure is a new game from Nokia drawing on the company's locations technology, designed to make your daily commute an adventure.
Shack News reports DreamWorks Dragons Adventure is free, and available now on Nokia Lumia 2520 tablets and most Lumia smartphones running Windows Phone 8.
Players nominate an end goal, and the game then draws on Nokia's HERE Maps to populate your travel routes, dotting them with points of interest generated from real world landmarks. Real world weather appears in-game, and things like slow traffic are emulated by fantays equivalents - mud slowing progress, for example.
Nokia;s Bryan Biniak said "there is more to come with this amazing technology", suggesting further, more complex games in the works.
Nokia sold its smartphone business to Microsoft earlier this year, leaving it to focus on location technologies.
