Noby Noby Boy's Girl reaches Pluto

Well, somebody's still using their PlayStation 3.

In case you missed it, Noby Noby Boy is a cute little playground sandbox from Katamari creator Keita Takahashi.

Players control the titular character, whose body can be stretched. There's no goal or points or anything - you just faff about in adorable, detailed little worlds, discomfiting the residents and making silly things happen.

The thing is, every time you stretch Noby Noby Boy the distance he reaches is added to Noby Noby Girl, who is on a journey through the solar system. The cumulative effort of all players since the game's 2009 PlayStation 3 release has pushed her to Pluto. YouTuber Alice Eidson shared a video of the moment.

If you fire up the game now you'll find that Pluto has been unlocked as a playable arena. If you've never tries, you can grab the free app on the PSN and join the fun if you like; the iOS version is no longer available.

Noby Noby Girl is now on her way to the sun.
