NoA looks to European sales before Xenoblade, The Last Story release
Nintendo of America still isn't promising anything with regards to a local release of The Last Story and Xenoblade Chronicles, but it will monitor the European performance of the two much-requested JRPGs.
"We will be watching very closely what happens in Europe," president Reggie Fils-Aime told IGN of the two games.
"Certainly if there are business opportunities and positive consumer uptake from some of those titles, that will be great data for us to consider as we look at what to do with these titles."
MonolithSoft's Xenoblade Chronicles is due for European release next month, but Nintendo of America has withdrawn the game from its release schedule.
The Last Story, which hails from former Final Fantasy lead Hironobu Sakaguchi's studio Mistwalker, has not been officially confirmed for either territory but is heavily rumoured for Europe.
As the Wii is region locked, fans are denied the possibility or importing either the European or Japanese releases.
A third much-desired Wii JRPG, Pandora's Tower, has not been confirmed for localisation.
Thanks, 1UP.
