Halo Infinite won't be at X018

Those of us hoping to see or hear more about Halo Infinite at Microsoft's next big event, X018, will be disappointed.

When Microsoft announced two weeks ago that it's bringing back X0 this year with X018, many assumed it would serve as the platform's equivalent of PlayStation Experience (which incidentally isn't happening this year).

PSX events are usually full of reveals and new information about announced games. Considering how light Halo Infinite's E3 reveal was, all eyes were on Microsoft and 343 to bring something big to X018.

Unfortunately, at least for the time being, we won't be getting any new info at the event. The developer simply has no plans to do so, as confirmed by 343 community manager Brian "ske7ch" Jarrard.

At this stage, it's possible that the next time we get big Halo Infinite news would be at E3 2019. Unless Microsoft is planning a big preview event or something similar before June, you should probably not hold your breath. The game is seemingly earlier in development than you'd hope.

In other Halo Infinite news, 343 recently confirmed that the game won’t have real-money loot boxes, or a battle royale mode.

Halo Infinite is coming to PC, and Xbox One.
