Nintendo's Plan for Getting Multiple Switch in Every Household Starts With a New Bundle [Update: No Plans for a US Release]
Two cars in every garage, three Switches in every house.

Update: In a statement to USgamer, Nintendo explained they "have no plans to release this configuration in the Americas.” So if you want that second Switch looks like you'll be paying full price.
Original Story
Japan is getting a Nintendo Switch bundle, or rather de-bundle, as it will only include the base Switch and set of Joy-Cons and no dock or other accessories. The set will be sold at a discounted price, and will only be available through the official My Nintendo Store.
The Switch package, which could be called the Dockless Switch bundle, will be priced at 26,978 yen (~$246 USD). You'll need to provide your own USB-C charger as it does not come with the AC Adapter. But hey at least it comes with a set of Joy-Con grips.
The package is sold at a near $50 discount as the full Switch bundle retails in Japan for 32,378 yen (~$295 USD).
The deal is presumably so that Nintendo can fulfil its promise of getting multiple Switch consoles in a single household. Nintendo said many times that it would be ideal if every member of a family had their own Switch. A point Nintendo reiterated during presentations to investors.
No word on whether the US or international markets will be getting similar deals. We reached out to Nintendo for comment. Perhaps we will hear something at Nintendo's E3 2018 press conference?
