Nintendo to offer 3DS WiFi spots in Best Buy stores starting in June

Nintendo has announced its to open Nintendo 3DS hot spots in various Best Buy locations next month, in order to demo SpotPass to customers.

Starting on June 7, which is when the eShop will launch, 1,000 Best Buy stores around the US will be demoing the service which will also include exclusive offers for store customers. Some of these offers include 3D movie trailers and additional content to be announced.

The retail chain's vice president of entertainment, Chris Homeister, said the stores will provide special wi-fi content in-store "as a retail partner for SpotPass."

Best Buy also plans to appoint sales clerks and in-store sales desks for its video game department this year.
