Nintendo Switch - this video shows you how to access the US, Japanese and European eShops
If you own a Nintendo Switch, you are able to access eShops which are outside of your region, and we show you how to do just that.
Accessiing eShops from different regions is actually incredibly easy and more so than any other console, according to Arekkz.
All you need do is create a new user, link a separate region account to it, and then start hopping between stores.
This is a great option for users who wish to purchase games from the Japanese store, especially if a game they have their eye one hasn't been localized. This is because Switch games are region-free whether they are physical or digital releases.
That said, Eurogamer reported earlier today it had an issue purchasing games from the eShop outside the EU region.
They tried using three different credit/debit cards, but was told each time to make sure their "details were correct."
"It's likely you'll be able to add credit using a pre-paid card and buy games on a different eShop this way," said Eurogamer. " Right now, however, debit and credit cards seem tied to their respective regions - it's the same situation as the region-free PlayStation 4."
You can still download free demos without any issue, so that's something at least.
Nintendo Switch is out today in regions where it's already March 3. Otherwise, it launches tomorrow.
