Nintendo dropping new Super Mario 3D World Switch trailer later today

Perhaps we'll find out a bit more about the new Bowser's Fury mode.

We'll be getting our next look at the upcoming Switch version of Super Mario 3D World in less than a few hours.

In a post on the Nintendo of America Twitter account, the Japanese games giant said that it would be dropping a two-minute trailer for the game at 6AM PT/2PM GMT.

From the wording of the tweet, it sounds like we'll be having a more detailed look at the new Bowser's Fury mode, too. This wasn't featured in the original 2013 version of the 3D platformer.

This updated port of the Wii U title was announced back in September 2020 and is set for a February 12 launch. New Cat Mario and Cat Peach amiibo figures are also set to be released alongside this enhanced version of the 2013 title.

Super Mario 3D World is coming to Nintendo Switch as part of the company's celebrations for Super Mario's 35th anniversary. This has also seen Nintendo release Super Mario 3D All-Stars, a collection featuring Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy. Though the package was met with excitement on launch, we described 3D All-Stars as "a bare bones wrapped around three stone-cold classics" in our review last year.

VG247's Alex Donaldson reckons Nintendo could have one of its greatest years yet in 2021.
