Nintendo Japan to lower price tag on official 3DS AC adapter
Nintendo Japan will drop the price of stand-alone 3DS AC adapters from ¥1,500 (about $19) to ¥1,000.
Andriasang reports the new price comes into effect on July 12.
What makes this particularly interesting is that the console's first hardware revision - the 3DS XL - doesn't come bundled with an adapter in Japan, so new adopters will have to purchase one separately. Happily, you can also use any DSi chargers you have lying about.
The US bundle includes an AC adapter, but the European one does not. The 3DS XL arrives in the US on August 19 and in Japan and Europe on July 28.
