Nintendo will show new footage of its upcoming titles and provide the first hands-on with The Witcher 3 for Switch at gamescom 2019.

This year at gamescom 2019, Nintendo will show new footage of Switch titles slated for the remainder of the year.

Attendees of the event will also be able to get some hands-on time with select titles, including The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Videos featuring in-depth looks will be published during the first part of the week and include the following:

  • Astral Chain
  • Dragon Quest 11 S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition
  • Luigi’s Mansion 3
  • Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020
  • The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening
  • The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition

Alongside The Witcher 3, gamescom attendees will be able to play Switch titles Luigi’s Mansion 3, Link’s Awakening, Pokemon Sword and Shield, Daemon X Machina, and Dragon Quest 11 S.

Nintendo has also invited players from last season’s Smash Ball Team Cup to compete in a one-off Nintendo Live: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Invitational. The winner will be sent to Japan to compete in the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate World Challenge Cup as part of the European squad in a special gala tournament.

If you're into tournaments, the Invitational will be streamed live August 22 on the Nintendo UK YouTube channel.  Nintendo’s stage at gamescom will play host to the first country qualifiers in the upcoming seasons of the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate European Team Cup and Splatoon 2 European Championship. Both will be streamed on Friday and Saturday afternoons, respectively.

The annual gamescom event runs August 20-24 at the Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany.
