Nintendo Downloads - Adventure Island, House M.D., more

Nintendo has updated its eShop, WiiWare, and DSiWare channels for the week, adding the Game Boy classic Adventure Island.

Adventure Island is kind of interesting because is started off as a port of Sega's Wonder Boy arcade game, before spawning its own, Hudson Soft-developed series. This one is actually the game known as Adventure Island II on the NES, but was the first to reach the Game Boy, It released in 1992. A 2009 Wii effort is the latest in the series, and with Hudson's kind-of-demise, we're unlikely to see much more.
