Nintendo Direct, September 13: When to Watch, How to Watch, and Which Games to Expect [Done!]

The weather may be warm and pleasant as summer gradually settles into fall, but make no mistake: Winter is coming. And with winter comes the holidays. And with the holidays comes a deluge of games.
This is every developer's last chance to impress us in the year 2017, and Nintendo's ready to turn our heads. It has a big Nintendo Direct presentation lined up for September 13, and you're invited to watch. Here's the how, when, and where!
When is the Nintendo Direct?
You can tune into the Nintendo Direct on September 13 (today!) at 3 PM PT / 6 PM ET. According to Nintendo, the presentation is about 45 minutes long.

What will we see on the Nintendo Direct?
A 45-minute Direct is nothing to sneeze at. Even Nintendo's E3 2017 presentation wasn't quite half an hour. According to Nintendo's official description of the event, it's "mainly focused on what's headed to Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS over the next few months, including new details about Super Mario Odyssey."
Nintendo has a weird habit of underselling its Direct presentations, though. While it'll definitely be re-treading old ground by giving us updates on games it showed off at E3 (the presentation is, after all, "mainly focused" on games due out for the holiday season, e.g. Super Mario Odyssey and Xenoblade Chronicles 2), I think some surprises are due, too. Platinum teased the possibility of Bayonetta on the Nintendo Switch earlier in the summer, so that's might wind up being a thing.
You can never predict what's really coming with a Nintendo Direct, and that's part of what makes them fun. Before June 13, we worried Nintendo was done with the Metroid series, only to suddenly learn Samus is alive and very well.
Another interesting point: Nintendo showcased a slew of indie games late last month, which means it's unlikely much of the 45-minute presentation is dedicated to upcoming Nindies titles. Does that mean more time for new announcements? Or maybe a musical interlude (just kidding. I hope)?
