Nintendo Creators Program is already running into problems

Nintendo Creators Program is only a few days old and the firm is already running into issues working through the amount of submissions it received.

Now that a few days have passed since the beta launch of Nintendo's Creators Program, a few YouTubers have submitted their channels and videos to Nintendo for review. Nintendo had said when it first unveiled the program that the review process would take "two to three days," which we now know isn't the case.

"Due to your enthusiasm for the program, we’re receiving a higher volume of applications to register channels & videos than expected," reads a new update on the program's website.

"It is taking longer than we anticipated to confirm the applications. We appreciate your patience as we work through them as quickly as possible."

Nintendo also added a small segment to remind everyone of the program's rules.

"Videos: we are only able to register videos that contain game titles specified on the list of supported games. Channels: we are only able to register channels that contain game titles specified on the list of supported games."

Furthermore, if a user submits their entire channel and that channel contains games outside of the white list, Nintendo won't be able to process it unless the user removes the video in question, or submits each video individually.

Creators Program was unveiled last week and is supposed to be Nintendo's answer to the growing trend of YouTube Let's Plays that allows YouTubers to monetise game content they created based on Nintendo games, while the company shares some of the revenue.
