Nintendo considering legal options after failing to claim WiiU.com domain

Nintendo has issued a statement following an unsuccessful attempt to secure the domain rights to 'WiiU.com'. The company is now considering other legal options to help its case.

Speaking with Eurogamer, a Nintendo representative has made clear the company's intention of securing the domain, and confirmed it is now seeking legal alternatives.

"Nintendo's efforts to recover the domain name WiiU.com through a Uniform Dispute Resolution Policy administrative proceeding were unsuccessful.

"Nintendo has a strong history of protecting against infringement of our intellectual property rights and we are continuing to review our legal options. This decision does not impact Nintendo's ability to enforce against violations concerning intellectual property."
