Nintendo 3DS has outsold PS3 lifetime sales in Japan
Nintendo's 3DS handheld has - as of this week - outsold Sony's lifetime PS3 sales in Japn, according to chart score-keepers Media Create. Get the numbers below.
Nintendo Life reports that as of this week's Media Create stats, Nintendo has shifted 8,799,378 3DS consoles since launch, after shifting 211,499 units last week.
Stacked against Sony's 8,716,260 PS3 units sold in Japan since launch, and the country has a new champion console. Comparatively, newcomer PS Vita is failing to ignite significant sales in Japan, with only 11,039 unit sold last week, while Wii U racked up 308,142 units in its launch week.
