Nikkei report heralds Seaman for 3DS

If notoriety is a measure of greatness, one of the greatest games of all time may be coming to 3DS.

A report in Nikkei, as translated by Andriasang, suggests Sega's cult classic Seaman may make the jump to 3DS, but did not give any details.

Seaman is a life sim which debuted on the Dreamcast in 1999. Although it has some interesting and quality features like voice control, experimental game design, and narration by Leonard Nimoy, it's mainly remembered for starring a fish with a human face. The Seaman had six life stages including egg, and eventually, could evolve into a sort of frog thing. Should this please you, you could breed more of them.

The Seaman had to be tended to every day or it could sicken and die, but mainly your responsibility was talking to it. It had what was for the time quite a deep vocabulary; it would give you interesting facts and occasionally insult you if it got in a mood. Which it did. A lot.

Creator Yoot Saito, who has never lived this down, hinted last year that some sort of 3DS adaptation was on the way.
