Expect another Nintendo Direct soon - every Direct Mini so far has been followed by a full one a few weeks later

Yesterday, Nintendo dropped a Direct Mini detailing Switch ports of great games like Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, Hyrule Warriors and most notably, Dark Souls.

However, discussion on reddit has pointed out that Nintendo has tended to follow each Mini with a full Direct presentation within the next few weeks.

In a thread by reddit user Natzore, it was noted that the time between each Direct Mini and the subsequent “standard” Direct has never been more than 20 days. In instances where there were consecutive Direct Minis, the date was taken from the last one.

A table Natzore added to their post showing the time between the Minis and full Directs is below:

Another presentation in the near future would make sense. Nintendo have tons of games in the works that they could show off, like Bayonetta, Metroid Prime 4 and Yoshi for Nintendo Switch. There have also been rumours - albeit spurious - that Nintendo is going to properly announce a new Fire Emblem game over the last couple of weeks.

Also, Amazon US posted 18 placeholders for games “just announced at the Nintendo Switch event” at the tail end of 2017. Although some were listed with the standard $59.99 price tag, many were posted costing $99.99, suggesting that they could be special editions of the unannounced titles. Even though a few were just announced at the Mini, that leaves plenty of room for new possibilities.
