Next Assassin's Creed stars Ezio, is continuation of ACII
If you were hoping that the newly-announced Assassin's Creed game, to release in the coming Ubi fiscal year, is a completely new banana with a new setting, think again: it's more Ezio, and it's more of the same story.
A Ubi rep, as reported by CVG, said in the conference call that followed the announcement, "The game will take place with the same hero, which is Ezio, and will follow-up the story that took place in Assassin's Creed II."
The game will as a full-priced product. It'll release in the 12 months ending March 2011.
Ubi told VG247 yesterday that it has nothing to do with upcoming Assassin's Creed II DLC.
The publisher announced the game on Wednesday, saying it would be the first in the series to feature multiplayer.
Assassin’s Creed II has now sold more than 6 million units, and is expected to reach 9 million by March 2010.
