New US Starcraft II league offers $400k prize pool
A new North American eSports league has been announced, with one of the world's largest prize pools up for grabs.
G4 reports the NASL aims to bring together the 50 best Starcraft II players in the US for three seasons of action.
The first two seasons will offer prizes of $100,000 each, while the third announced series will culminate in a $200,000 take home for the champion - the largest eSports cash pool outside Korea.
Matches begin airing daily from April 5th on the NASL website, with premium versions available for keen spectators.
By July the competition - which may include international players - will have been whittled down to the top 16, who will go head to head at a LAN in Los Angeles.
