New The Wonderful 101: Remastered Kickstarter stretch goals revealed as campaign smashes past $1 million
The Wonderful 101 Kickstarter campaign is already well past its initial goal.
As leaked earlier in the day, Platinum Games did in fact launch a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter for The Wonderful 101.
With a meagre $50,000 goal, Platinum wanted to remaster the game for Nintendo Switch, but also had higher stretch goals for PC at $250,000 and PS4 at $500,000. Both of these were achieved in hours, and the campaign has just broken past the $1 million goal, which adds a time attack mode.
At $1.5 million, Platinum promises to create a 2D side scrolling adventure - called Luka's First Mission - starring "a young hero." The stretch goals section of the page does appear to have room in it for more to be added. Considering the campaign's pace so far, this is very likely.
At the time of writing, the campaign has amassed over $1 million from 15,460 backers, with 31 days to go.
