New studio formed by ex-Bohemia Interactive and 2K Czech members
Members from the teams responsible for both Operation Flashpoint and the Mafia series have joined forces to create Warhorse, a new Prague-based studio working on a yet to be announced RPG.
A statement issued by Warhorse, obtained by Eurogamer reads:
"There is a common thread running through our previous games: open worlds, strong storyline and, last but not least, realistic design.
"We can proudly say that the games Mafia and Operation Flashpoint were the vanguard of this approach and millions of players worldwide clearly share our view. Even if our new project is different in many respects, it is a game that is not going to disappoint fans of open realistic worlds and quality stories."
The studio has been founded by former Mafia director and lead designer, Daniel Vávra. He's been joined by development talent including the Dragon's Lair author Martin Klíma, Operation Flashpoint and ARMA designer Viktor Bocan, and Zbynek Trávnivký, who served as an animator for the Mafia series.
Recruitment is said to be ongoing.
