New Soul Calibur V characters profiled
Not content with just looking at pretty pictures? Soul Calibur V's newly revealed roster members have been fleshed out.
Writing on the US PS Blog, producer Hisaharu Tago said Ivy's "eternal existence is promised". Her profile lists her age as "stopped at 32", explaining why she hasn't sagged a bit around the edges in the 17 years between tournaments.
New character Natsu has been revealed as the apprentice of Taki - who is still alive. Tago asked fans to wait to see her in motion, explaining that her ninja speed is well-suited to Soul Calibur's high-speed makeover.
Perhaps most intriguingly, Tago hints that the other new character, Z.W.E.I., is closely linked to overhauls to the game's weapons system. Apparently, his sword isn't his main method of attack, and his name - meaning "two" in German - is supposed to hint that there might be a "one" as well.
Mysterious! Tago advised US fans to check out EVO in Las Vegas on July 31, where director Daishi Odashima will apparently have some tasty reveals to make.
New Soul Calibur V characters were teased for Comic Con reveal, then shown off in an asset dump in the lead up to the convention.
Kotaku grabbed an off-screen video showing all three characters, which you can see below.
Thanks, EvilAvatar.
