New PS4 firmware update released, improves the thing you suspect it would
You have a new PS4 firmware update to look forward to.
Firmware updates: we need them, and Sony continues to deliver. The latest one has just been made available on PS4 all over the world, but there's sadly not much to be excited about.
The update, version 4.71, doesn't do much different from May's 4.70 update. That is to say, it's here to improve the quality of the system performance.
Everyone with a PS4 is required to download 4.71 if they want to play online, but your system should automatically apply it if you left it in Rest Mode.
Obviously, this opaque phrase doesn't tell us much, but what we can tell you is that it comes in at 324.8MB, which is similar than most of the recent ones.
It's been a while since we've had a PS4 firmware with tangible features, but it's not like the system is missing many of those.
