New Pokemon Snap file size and mysterious 'online functions' listed
Nintendo has updated its product page for the unfortunately-named New Pokemon Snap, revealing the file size and some mysterious new features.
Last week, we learned that in New Pokemon Snap, we'll be touring the islands of the Lental region, exploring a suite of diverse ecosystems, and snapping pics of over 200 Pokemon while we're at it.
We also learned that the game will launch in stores and on the eShop for Switch on April 30 for $59.99 or your regional equivalent – but today, we've gleaned a little more info about the upcoming spin-off.
Thanks to a fresh New Pokemon Snap product page that was uploaded for the Nintendo Switch game over the weekend, we now know that the game will take up a mercifully small amount of space on Nintendo Switch systems.
The title is expected to use roughly 6.8GB on the Switch on Day One (whether this changes with patches and updates remains to be seen), coming in at a lot smaller a size than Pokemon Sword and Shield's 11GB (thanks, GamesRadar).
The listing also notes that the game will support "Online Play", with the label for the paid Nintendo Switch Online service appearing on the page, too.
To date, Nintendo has offered no insight into what these online features could be – whether there's a photo-sharing system, online leaderboards, or more remains to be seen.
Nintendo may announce more details before the game launches on April 30.
