New PlayStation ad gives PS4 exclusive titles a live-action makeover

PlayStation adverts are always fun. Who could forget the PS3 Micheal commercial?

The latest ad for the PS4 is called The King and features a young royal bored with the mundanity of his everyday life.

Accompanied by Scala & Kolacny Brothers' cover of Eurythmics’ Sweet Dreams, he fantasises about leaving it all behind to escape into a world of significantly more excitement, and promptly legs it.

The ad is the longer version of the one on YouTube, which features an extra scene with Spider-Man - it's not actual gameplay footage, so don't get too excited.

A ton of flagship PS4 characters are brought to life in the live-action/ CGI mash-up, as well as those from upcoming titles, like Horizon Zero Dawn's Aloy.

There are also a sprinkling of more subtle references. I'm pretty sure I haven't spotted all of them yet. How did you get on?
