New Dragon Quest: Rocket Slime title takes to the high seas on 3DS
Never heard of Rocket Slime? It's about adorable, doe-eyed blob monsters piloting city-sized tank mechs. In a word: delightful. In more words: did you read the words that we just wrote?
Best of all, the upcoming 3DS sequel is correcting the first game's only glaring flaw: not enough pirates.
So far, the new game - titled (brace yourself) Slime Mori Mori Dragon Quest 3: Daikaizoku to Shippodan - has only been announced for Japanese release and is actually the third game in the spin-off series. According to the latest issue of Jump (via Andriasang), the slimy sequel will see you quell the sea's pirate problem, allowing you to build your own ship and sail it into battle. Our guess? Think Rocket Slime classic, but - you know - wetter.
The game will also have WiFi multiplayer and StreetPass functionality. It's coming to Japan this winter. So then, commence groveling for an NA/EU release in 3... 2... 1...
