Need for Speed tease may hint at manual transmission update

Need for Speed looks likely to answer one of its fans' most fervent wishes.
EA's Need for Speed social team is indulging in a bit of coy teasing today, suggesting we all immediately subscribe to the franchise's official YouTube channel. Apparently it has something to show us tomorrow.
According to pals of mine who know more about both cars and Need for Speed, the tease suggests Ghost Games may be adding manual transmission to the racer. This seems like a good idea; I know Need for Speed is more arcade-style than pure sim, but hardcore racing fans love manual transmission and it's been missing from the series for several entries now.
