Need for Speed: Payback's story-focused trailer tells a tale of "betrayal and revenge"
Need for Speed: Payback is about more than fast cars and trying to outrun the Po Po.
A new story-focused trailer provides a first peek at gameplay in Need for Speed: Payback.
In the game, players will take on the roll of three characters: Tyler, Mac, and Jess. The trio has reunited to seek vengeance against The House: the cartel which rules the underworld of Fortune Valley.
The diabolic consortium not only controls the city's casinos, The House also has both criminals and cops in its pocket.
Other characters are introduced in the video as well: Rav, the team's mechanic; high-stakes gambler Marcus Weirand; and Lina Navarro, The House’s representative on the street racing scene.
Along with the new trailer, EA has released a set of screenshots for story mode, and the aforementioned characters.
EA Access and Origin Access members interested in giving the racer a go will be able to soon through a Play First Trial.
Slated for November 2, this will provide subs with 10 full hours of playtime before Need for Speed: Payback releases on November 10.
Also, those who decide on Need for Speed: Payback Deluxe Edition will be granted access to the game three days early on November 7.
