Need for Speed: Most Wanted headed to Wii U, but not for launch

Need for Speed: Most Wanted will definitely make an appearance on Wii U.

Nintendo listed the racer in its 2013 Wii U line-up, despite EA's silence on the subject to date.

"We are very excited to deliver Need for Speed: Most Wanted on more platforms and to more gamers," an EA representative told Polygon.

"Starting October 30, Most Wanted will be available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PS Vita, Android and iOS. Then in 2013, Nintendo fans will be able to experience what it means to be Most Wanted amongst their friends on the Wii U."

Most Wanted has a strong multiplayer focus, with an emphasis on Criterion's Autolog system, bo it's quite likely players will need to sign into an Origin account as well as their Nintendo Network ID, as is currently required on both HD console networks.

Thanks, GameInformer.
