No paid DLC plans for Need for Speed, runs at 30fps on PS4 and Xbox One
There are no plans for paid DLC releases with the Need for Speed reboot, according to EA.
This nice little nugget was posted in an FAQ over on the UK region of the website.
According to EA there are currently "no plans for any paid DLC," and a series of free content updates are in the works. And, there will be no micro-transactions.
Also of note, the game will run at 30fps on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
"For any driving game a steady frame rate is incredibly important, and with Need for Speed we’re delivering super high production values when it comes to both visuals and sound," reads the FAQ. "We always look to maximize the game technology with the platform technology for the experience we’re building, which is why the game will run at 30fps on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
"By doing this we ensure that your gameplay experience remains incredibly smooth and allows you to experience the high speed gameplay you’ve come to expect from the Need for Speed series."
It was announced yesterday EA and Ghost Games had delayed the PC version of Need for Speed into spring 2016 in order to "meet fan expectations" and provide an unlocked frame rate for PC users. The game is expected to ship with all content updates released on consoles prior to the PC launch.
Need for Speed will be released on PS4 and Xbox One November 3.
