The Creative Assembly has announced that Napoleon: Total War will be released on February 23.

Expected during February 2010 for quite some time, the news of a date was tweeted by Creative Assembly earlier this morning.

"Napoleon: Total War will be released on 23rd February 2010!" read the official Total War Twitter (via Cinemablend), but it failed to state whether the date was a global release or not.

The game will feature two campaigns based on Napoleon's excursions in Italy and Egypt, with a third one having players "conquering as much of the world as possible" and like previous iterations in the series, the title supports multiplayer.

Back in November, it was announced that the Napoleon: Total War – Imperial Edition would be made available, and contained: the game, a wall chart full of Napoleon history, a special unlock code for 10 exclusive units (online and standard edition have that bit too), and five exclusive units under the Elite Regiment bundle.

There's a video up on Eurogamer, which is chapter 2 in the Campaigns of the Coalition series, and is once again narrated by actor Jason Isaacs.

We'll send a mail off to SEGA and see if we can get a bit more information on that date for you.
