Namco to release Star Trek movie tie-in during Q1 2013

Namco will publish the tie-in game for the next Star Trek film from Paramount Pictures, which is currently in development by Digital Extremes. The game is based on a stand-alone storyline which continues the adventure of Kirk and Spock as they work together to "stop a legendary enemy race bent on conquering the galaxy." It was shown for the first time at E3 last year, and is being written by God of War's Marianne Krawczyk in collaboration with Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, writers and producers for the film. The most exciting part? You can co-op as Kirk and Spock. Get your gold and blue shirts out now. The game will be released during Q1 2013, prior to the May 17 release of the film, for all major home consoles and PC.
