Mystic Messenger: how to get on Ray’s route walkthrough - Prologue, Day 1, 2, 3 and 4 (Another Story mode)

Get the Ray Route in Mystic Messenger’s Another Story mode with this full walkthrough.

On this Mystic Messenger guide page, we’ll show you how to navigate the first four days of Another Story mode and end up on Ray’s route at the game branch.

Ray route is only available in Another Story mode, so if you’re yet to cough up the HG to unlock this add-on, you won’t be able to romance Ray. We suggests playing Ray’s route after you’ve seen everything else the game has to offer, including all the character routes in Casual and Deep Story modes and the Secret Ending material unlocked after achieving 707’s Good End.

There are only two character routes in Another Story mode, but it’s unfortunately all too easy to make mistakes when you’re pursuing Ray and end up on the wrong one - he’s a complicated character and getting through to him requires a very different approach to the other characters.

Since unlocking missed chats and making calls is so expensive in Another Story, our Ray route get walkthrough includes plenty of flirting with characters other than V in order to maximise hearts and therefore HG. So don’t concern yourself too much with how many other hearts you’re earning - there are so many Ray hearts available that you’ll almost certainly end up where you need to be if you stick to our suggestions below.

That said, the Ray route get walkthrough below only covers those chats where there are Ray hearts, email opportunities, or both. You can and should participate in other chats, to keep your chat participation at 75% or more - and your approach in these other chats should be to avoid showing interest in V and to spread your affection evenly amongst the other characters.
