Mortal Kombat X appears to be getting a custom controller

A photo that's been doing the rounds today shows a Mortal Kombat X-branded controller, despite not having been officially announced.
The photo, taken by Alex Jebailey, community manager of Iron Galaxy Studios, shows a controller with six face buttons, and no d-pad.
It was taken at the GameStop EXPO, held in Anaheim, California last week. Jebailey added that the controller is pending approval, so that could explain why Warner Bros. has not yet sent word about it.
