Rain's moveset revealed in latest Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate trailer

Publisher WB Games and developer NetherRealm Studios have released the first gameplay trailer for the new characters arriving in Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate Edition: Rain.

The Edenian demi-god – dressed in the purple robes of his nation's royalty – is finally returning to the Mortal Kombat world after a brief cameo back in MKX.

Rain was originally introduced into the franchise back in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, where he endeared himself to many of the series' loyal fans as another addition to the crew of masked ninja that made the franchise so iconic.

"As the son of the god Argus, Edenia’s divine Protector, Rain wields a magical power allowing him to harness water and lightning, open dimensional rifts to a previously unknown water realm and even liquefy himself to avoid attacks," reads a description of the new kombatant.

"He is also equipped with a deadly katar to slash and stab opponents as he fights for his place in Edenia’s pantheon."

Rain joins the Mortal Komat 11 roster on November 17 as one of the bonus fighters players are being offered in Kombat Pack 2.

Pre-orders for Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate Edition – which collects all previously released content including every character, and every feature from the main game, Kombat Pack 1, Kombat Pack 2, and the Aftermath Expansion – open today.
