Monster Hunter World: Lunastra event tasks players with taking on three Elder Dragons

Monster Hunter World players can take part in the new Lunastra event this weekend, and it sounds like a doozy.

With the release of Monster Hunter World's third content update, Lunastra, the Empress of Flame was added. From now until June 7, you can fight the Elder Dragon in a new event - along with two others.

It's an Elder Dragon triple-team on players, as they will be tasked with defeating not only Lunastra, but also her male companion Teostra, and Nergigante.

The event quest is called The Thronetaker and it takes place at Elder’s Recess. Players will need to be at Hunter Rank 50 or higher.

Arekkz and some of his friends took on the triple threat, deciding to get Nergigante out of the way first. Give it a watch to see how they went about it.

Regarding this particular monster, if you need tips on how to kill Nergigante in Monster Hunter World, just hit up that lovely link.

Along with the event quest, Capcom is giving out a free Potion Gift Set to players just for logging into the game.

It contains the following, and the pack can be claimed now through June 6:

  • 10 Ancient Potions
  • 10 Dash Juice
  • 20 Max Potions
  • 10 Mega Armorskin
  • 10 Mega Demondrug

On June 7, The Thronetaker event quest will end, and A Whisper of White Mane will take its place June 8-21. Players will need to defeat an Arch-Tempered Kirin.

Event Quest The Deathly Quiet Curtain, featuring an Arch-Tempered Vaal Hazak, will follow on June 22, and will end on July 5.
