Monster Hunter World is getting another beta, early post-launch plans revealed

Capcom has announced today that Monster Hunter World will host a third round of beta testing, just before the game officially releases later this month.

The next Monster Hunter World beta, like the previous two, is PS4-exclusive. This final beta round takes place January 19-22.

The upcoming beta will keep the hunts seen in the previous two for Jagras, Anjanath and Barroth, and also add a new quest to hunt the Nergigante. To celebrate the news, Capcom released a new trailer that shows off a bunch of new and returning monsters.

Specifically, it's about Elder Dragons. Kushala Daora, Teostra, and the new Dodogama dragon. There are also a few bits of story teasers in there.

Post-launch, Capcom plans to release several content updates for World. The first one of these, due out in the spring, adds the Deviljho monster.

Monster Hunter World is out January 26 on PS4, and Xbox One. The PC version is due out sometime this fall, a good 7 months after consoles.
