New movesets coming to weapons in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne expansion
The Monster Hunter World: Iceborne expansion will include more than just new monsters and areas. It also features new weapon movesets.
Through a new set of videos, Capcom provided a look at new movesets coming to weapons in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne.
These videos covered the Great Sword, Long Sword, Slinger, Lance, Gunlance, Charge Blade, Switch Axe, Hunting Horn and more.
For the Slinger, the new feature is called Clutch Claw, which is basically a grappling move. Using the move will see a claw shoot out and grab enemies. This allows you to jump onto them and perform a special attack or control the monster's movement. Clutch Attacks will also vary by type of weapon being used.
Slinger Burst lets you fire a hard shot and works with specific weapons, like the Great Sword and Dual Blades.
You can use the Slinger alongside any weapon in the game, as seen in Arekkz's videos below.
The Long Sword video shows off one of the new movesets called Iai slash. In the Great Sword video, you will see how handy using the Slinger alongside the massive weapon will be when battling monsters. It will also feature a more powerful Sling Shot which results in a more powerful flinch.
The videos below also provide a look at Odogaron Master Rank Armor and a new Layered Armor set. You also get a look at shield moves, the Dual Blades, and even more armor.
