Monster Hunter World: the fastest ways to make money - bandit mantle, farm might seeds and investigations

There are a lot of ways to make money - known as Zenny - in Monster Hunter World. And you're going to need a lot of it

Zenny is used for pretty much everything - shopping, upgrading weapons and armour, eating at the canteen - and the further you get into the game the more expensive it becomes.

You can earn zenny by completing quests, but what we want to do is to look at the fastest and most efficient ways to fill your purse with money.

This video from Arekkz highlights the three fastest ways to farm zenny in Monster Hunter World, and we've broken down the methods below.

Might Seed farming

Might Seeds are common and you'll find them on the ground around the ancient forest at the start of the game. You can consume them for a little attack boost, but they're more valuable to sell. Each Might Seed is worth 140 zenny, which isn't a lot on its own, but sell them in large amounts and you'll see a nice payout.

At the botanical research center you can cultivate Might Seeds over time. To make the most of this you'll need to complete a four-star quest: Persistent Pests. You'll have to hunt 14 Hornetaurs - an easy task as they're right outside the camp and easy to kill. Once you complete that you'll be able to farm Might Seeds, which you can leave cultivating while you go out on quests. Once you have plenty to sell, make sure you always keep one back to cultivate.

Complete Investigations

Investigations are quests that can only be completed a number of times, but some of them pay out a large amount of money. Look for those offering 10,000 zenny at a time, and complete them as many times as possible to farm a stack of money.

Use the Bandit Mantle

Using the Bandit Mantle is the best way to farm money in Monster Hunter World. You'll need to complete the 5 star quest Redefining The Power Couple to get the Bandit Mantle as a reward.

The Bandit Mantle causes monsters to drop trade-in items. Trade-in items can't be used for anything other than selling on for zenny. The harder the monster to defeat, the higher the value of the trade-in item. Have the Bandit Mantle active while attacking monsters and you'll get plenty of trade-in item drops. If you and your party each have a Bandit Mantle, you can farm even more items and really coin it in.
