Monster Hunter World commercial in Japan confirms inclusion of the Elder Dragon Kirin

Another Elder Dragon has been announced for Monster Hunter World, thanks to a Japanese commercial for the open-world title.

Over in Japan, a short Monster Hunter World commercial is being aired, and it provides a super-quick glimpse of the Kirin Elder Dragon.

Kirin can summon lightning to strike attackers, and one of its main elements is Thunder. While it's horn is rather fragile, it's body is another story due to sporting tough hide and tightly packed fur. Because of this, most body attacks will bounce off Kirin, so go for the head and the horn when trying to defeat it.

It's important to note these creatures are super fast and it's almost impossible to outrun. In other words: prepare to be gored.

A third and final Monster Hunter World beta will kick off next week on January 18 in North America, and January 19 in Europe and Japan. It will run through January 22 and like the previous two, the tester is PS4-exclusive.

The upcoming beta will keep the hunts seen in the previous two for Jagras, Anjanath and Barroth, and also add a new quest to hunt the game's flagship monster, Nergigante.

Monster Hunter World is out January 26 on PS4, and Xbox One. The PC version is due out sometime this fall, a good 7 months after consoles.
