Monster Hunter Frontier G coming to PS3, Wii U in Japan
Monster Hunter Frontier, the only MMO the RPG series has produced to date, is coming to two new consoles.
Translating from Famitsu, Gematsu reports Monster Hunter Frontier G will launch in Japan on PlayStation 3 on November 20 and Wii U on December 11.
The two new versions will be the same as the existing PC and Xbox 360 releases, but won't share servers.
Japanese players will be able to download the client for free or pick up a starter set at retail for ¥6,090 (about $62) with a couple of weapons and armour sets. A subscription costs ¥1,600 per month (about $16).
There will be a free beta on each system about one month before launch.
Monster Hunter Frontier has not been announced for western release on any system. It is frequently referred to by original title Monster Hunter Frontier Online, but swapped in the G instead of "Online" after an April 2013 expansion.
