Molyneux's Curiosity will release on iOS, Android and PC August 22

Peter Molyneux announced during Rezzed his first title from 22 Can, Curiosity, will release on iOS, Android and PC on August 22.

Molyneux said Curiosity will see players chipping at a cube formed of 60 million other cubes, in an attempt to uncover the mystery at the core.

This mystery "is so valuable, and so life-changingly important," said Molyneux.

"It's so amazing I think it will appear on news reports, though it's not a dead cat, by the way," he said making a reference to the Schrödinger's cat paradoxical thought experiment.

Curiosity can "support up to a million players chipping away at its block at any one time," and "only one person will be able to unlock the mystery at its core," reports Eurogamer.

It will also support microtransactions, where pickaxes will be made available for 50 cents while a diamond pickaxe will run you $50,000 which Molyneux said was "nothing to be ashamed of."
