Molyneux taking applications for Curiosity beta testers

Game developer Peter Molyneux and his studio 22 Cans have started sending out invites to gamers for signing up in order to participate in a field test for the studio's first game, Curiosity - What's Inside the Cube.

"We are looking for some feedback," the 22 Cans Facebook page said, offering players the opportunity to sign up for the developer's "first experiment".

"Hopefully these people will give honest feedback on what Curiosity is like, and spot some of the flaws in this totally unique experience."

It appears that the first test for the game requires you to be available at a specific time in order to take part as the post asks participants to have "a spare hour at about 16:00 GMT Tuesday-Friday", (8am Pacific).

Curiosity will place players from all over the globe in the same virtual room containing a single cube that users will be required to tap away at, causing fractures. Eventually the cube will break open, revealing something "truly amazing" and "absolutely unique", according to Molyneux, but only the player who delivers the final tap will be able to witness the contents inside it.

The game which was initially headed for a release last month, has been delayed to an yet to be announced date in September.

Thanks, CVG.
