Modern Warfare 3 Xbox 360 double XP weekend extended

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Xbox 360 players will enjoy bonus experience for a little longer than previously scheduled after a prime time outage threatened to ruin the fun.
"I say we keep Double XP going for a bit longer than the just weekend to make up for lost time, what do you think?" Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling cheekily announced.
The extension is a result of some unfortunate server outages which kicked off on Friday night, US time.
The cause was later narrowed down to an Xbox Live issue; somewhat embarrassing for all concerned, as Modern Warfare 3 is one of the most active games on the service even when there isn't a promotional event on.
No word on when the extended XP session will end.
