Mobile versions of Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem will be free-to-play titles
Both titles were confirmed as the next smartphone releases from Nintendo and DeNA in April 2016.
The free-to-play business model was confirmed by DeNA boss Isao Moriyasu and a Nintendo spokesperson , according to a report from the Wall Street Journal.
Nintendo has previously stated not all of its mobile titles would be freemium releases like it's first offering Miitomo.
The company has a five-game deal with DeNA and all are to be released by March 2017.
