MLB 2K13 Million-Dollar Challenge exploit patched out

MLB 2K13 has been patched to stop players gaining an unfair advantage during the game's Million-Dollar Challenge contest.

Kotaku reports that last year's contest was plagued with exploits, in which players could alter their line-up during loading screens to react to whatever their opponent was doing, giving players an unfair advantage.

Typically, players pausing Million-Dollar Challenge matches or altering their line-up unfairly would lose the official contest logo deeming the match void from the contest. However, by making changes while the game was loading the logo would remain.

Not this year however, as Kotaku reports that the logo now vanishes if you step outside the official rules in all instances, rendering matches null and void. It seems that 2K Games has stepped up to the plate and has fixed the issue once and for all.

Just as well too, because according to 2K eight of last year's finalists were found to have cheated using this exploit. The sneaky sods.
