Minority Report scribe rewriting Assassin's Creed movie

In an interview with Creative Screenwriting, Scott Frank, who was nominated for an Oscar for Out of Sight and somehow ended up writing Marley & Me, casually mentioned the fact that he's rewriting the screenplay for Assassin's Creed. He just put it out there, and the interviewer didn't pick it up. The previous draft was done by playwright Michael Leslie, and Michael Fassbender will star in an unknown role. Movie is scheduled for June 2015.
